WP1.2 Milestone project management (PM) meetings
These milestones PM are related to the overall progress in preparation of task WP3, WP4 and WP5. The activity related to these milestones PM is internal QUALITY MANAGEMENT according to the 0A and 0B points in the task 5 (see tab. 5.1). The problems related to the functional work of IC Forums, Web server, dissemination progress, evaluation process, diffusion to the post pilot-phase. Possible problems related to organizing dissemination processes during seminar and local-international conferences will be discussed and specified work program related to these problems will be fixed.
During the Pilot Project several internal workshops with invited outside experts are planned:
I. Guidance and tutoring in relearning environments
The workshop deals with guidance and tutoring in relearning environment as a process; how to create a structure to support interaction in the process; what is essential within different contexts; what are participants' roles and tasks in the process; how to develop tutoring and interaction skills?
II. Sharing of courses and material in e-Learning environments - practical problems, multicultural barriers, content and technical standards
The workshop deals with questions that arise when organizations with different cultural, technical backgrounds attempt to combine or share their eLearning materials or platforms: issues of translation, student support, accreditation, technology etc. The idea is to give every participant a possibility to actively take part in the workshop and discuss the successes/problems they have faced or think they will be facing in their planned project. Also practical case studies on learning material transfers between different organizations and cultures will be presented and discussed.
III. Teachers and trainers adapting to eLearning - challenges, possibilities and risks
The workshop looks at the demands placed on the individual teacher, trainer and their work community from the point of view of competence requirements, both individual and organizational.
IV. Mobility and eLearning - virtual mobility in reality
The workshop discusses and exchanges best practices on ICT in mobility projects with the aim of coming up with practical guidelines and criteria for the future. How has ICT been used as a means to enhance e.g. the preparation process, tutoring, language and cultural competencies and evaluation processes in mobility projects?
V. eLearning for diverse learners - innovations in design, content and access
Learners with special learning needs often have little experience of and prejudices against ICT use. However, virtual learning platforms might provide flexibility for special learners. The workshop produces insight on how ICT can meet the expectations of people with special learning needs or limited possibilities to access eLearning.
